On November 7, 2025, Eduardo Mateo Bonmatí, Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP), visited the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (IGDB), part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in Beijing (China). The IGDB is one of the pillars of the CEPEI alliance, an international collaboration program between two CAS centers and the CBGP (http://www.cepei.cbgp.upm.es/).
Thanks to the President's International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) program, Eduardo Mateo visited the IGDB at the invitation of Professor Yusheng Zhao. The PIFI program, a CAS initiative, aims to establish scientific cooperation and promote research communication between researchers around the world and their Chinese counterparts.
During this visit, Eduardo Mateo, who currently leads the emerging research group studying co-transcriptional regulation in plants at the CBGP, presented his group's latest results in the field of transcription and chromatin at an institutional seminar.
